Congratulations

[00:18.24] Her twenty-third birthday was also the first
[00:22.24] Of a long, slow and steady decline
[00:26.36] She holds a degree but now she can see that
[00:30.84] She made her life out of half-truths and lies
[00:39.36] A party that night at her house
[00:43.48] She sulked and kicked everyone out
[00:47.60] Those leeches for friends were at it again
[00:51.88] Complain, do cocaine and drain her champagne

[00:57.80] Congratulations
[01:01.44] For being so smart
[01:06.12] Congratulations
[01:08.92] You've picked it all apart
[01:14.84] Raise up your glass and toast to your health
[01:23.40] Lift up your glass and toast to yourself
[01:27.76]
[01:37.72] There was a boy she used to enjoy
[01:42.04] His picture's still there on the shelf
[01:46.12] But he was destroyed when she tired of her toy
[01:51.08] Left him behind to find someone else
[01:59.04] She cut open his heart to see what's inside
[02:03.48] Some things just aren't meant for the eyes
[02:07.92] But she couldn't wait or take things on faith
[02:12.76] She turned away and left him to die

[02:18.04] Congratulations
[02:22.12] For being so smart
[02:26.84] Congratulations
[02:29.68] You've picked it all apart
[02:35.56] Raise up your glass and toast to your health
[02:44.24] Lift up your glass and toast to yourself
[02:48.68]
[03:07.88] Collapsed on her bed with all the books that she'd read
[03:12.36] And pushed them all down to the floor
[03:16.28] What a shame, she once said, all the authors are dead
[03:21.32] Can't defend themselves any more
[03:29.32] To make disappointment your only enjoyment
[03:34.00] Take everyone down as you fall
[03:37.84] She deconstructs
[03:39.52] She kills and she stuffs
[03:41.24] She can't have enough trophies to hang on the wall

[03:47.04] Congratulations
[03:50.96] For being so smart
[03:55.32] Congratulations
[03:58.04] You've picked it all apart
[04:03.40] Raise up your glass and toast to your health
[04:11.12] You won't have a drink with anyone else
[04:19.08] You wrote them all off like the books on your shelf
[04:27.08] So lift up your glass and drink to yourself
[04:32.00]
