It was released on July 4, 2025, through Republic Records, as the second single from the film's soundtrack album. Critics praised "Golden" for its lyrics and catchy composition. In addition to the overall success of the film's soundtrack, the song reached number one on the Billboard Global 200 and topped the charts in more than 30 countries, including South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
