Oh, when I was young my daddy said
"When you grow old, find a girl to wed
Oh, I met your ma' down the Old Oak Pier
Down in Balmaha and she whispered in my ear"
She said, "Hey boy, can you dance this way?
Roll to your right, let your shoulders sway
One, two step and a clap, shout hey
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay
Roll to your right, let your shoulders sway
One, two step and a clap, shout hey
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay"
Oh, the stars they glow where the waters meet
I spun her around on the sand beneath our feet
Oh, the night was young and the air was sweet
Oh, we fell in love when she whispered in my ear
She said, "Hey boy, can you dance this way?
Roll to your right, let your shoulders sway
One, two step and a clap, shout hey
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay
Roll to your right, let your shoulders sway
One, two step and a clap, shout hey
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay"
Let me see you shake
Let me see you shake, ay
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay
Let me see you shake
Let me see you shake, ay
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay
Let me see you shake
Let me see you shake, ay
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay
Let me see you shake
Let me see you shake, ay
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay
She said, "Hey boy, can you dance this way?
Roll to your right, let your shoulders sway
One, two step and a clap, shout hey
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay
Roll to your right, let your shoulders sway
One, two step and a clap, shout hey
Let me see you shake to the Milarrochy Bay"
