Old Man's Grace

[00:00.52] Oh, I don't know where we're going, but I know we'll find our way
[00:07.32] There's a light that tries to guide us even on our darkest days
[00:14.25] May your cup be overflowing with a smile upon your face
[00:20.82] Hope you cherish every moment, may your days be filled with grace
[00:28.16] I was walking over cobbled streets, my legs began to tire
[00:31.60] I was looking for a place to rest my bones
[00:34.89] See a crowded room, an open door and smoke from open fire
[00:38.25] There's an old man there sitting on his own
[00:41.88] He turned to me, said, "Take a seat and grab yourself a half
[00:45.09] There's something laying heavy on your chest"
[00:48.75] With troubled eyes, I nod my head and knocked my whiskey back
[00:51.84] Then he took a breath and this is what he said
[00:54.74] "Oh, I don't know where we're going, but I know we'll find our way
[01:01.54] There's a light that tries to guide us even on our darkest days
[01:08.34] May your cup be overflowing with a smile upon your face
[01:14.98] Hope you cherish every moment, may your days be filled with grace"
[01:22.54] Now I'm where he used to be, his words become my own
[01:25.71] I remember everything he said that day
[01:28.97] And if someone sits down next to me, and they are all alone
[01:32.42] Then I'll take a breath and this is what I'll say
[01:35.22] "Oh, I don't know where we're going, but I know we'll find our way
[01:42.14] There's a light that tries to guide us even on our darkest days
[01:48.76] May your cup be overflowing with a smile upon your face
[01:55.57] Hope you cherish every moment, may your days be filled with grace"
[02:02.89] So raise a glass to days gone by
[02:06.48] To the old man's tales that reach the sky
[02:09.82] Although his voice may fade away
[02:13.22] His wisdom in our hearts will stay
[02:15.78] Oh, I don't know where we're going, but I know we'll find our way
[02:22.78] There's a light that tries to guide us even on our darkest days (even on our darkest days)
[02:29.20] May your cup be overflowing (may your cup be overflowing)
[02:32.70] With a smile upon your face (put a smile on your face)
[02:36.26] Hope you cherish every moment
[02:39.53] May your days be filled with grace (may your days be filled with grace)
[02:46.56]
