Lyrics

[00:28.38] Saturday night I was downtown
[00:31.77] Working for the FBI
[00:35.26] Sitting in a nest of bad men
[00:38.59] Whiskey bottles piling high
[00:43.94] Bootlegging boozer on the west side
[00:47.08] Full of people who are doing wrong
[00:50.66] Just about to call up the D.A. man
[00:54.16] When I heard this woman singing a song
[00:59.83] A pair of forty fives made me open my eyes
[01:02.86] My temperature started to rise
[01:07.45] She was a long cool woman in a black dress
[01:11.10] Just a 5'9" beautiful 'n' tall
[01:14.66] Just one look I was a bad mess
[01:18.07] 'Cos that long cool woman had it all
[01:22.03]
[01:39.92] Woo!
[01:42.28]
[01:47.88] I saw her heading to the table
[01:51.46] Well, a tall walking big black cat
[01:54.51] When Charlie said, I hope that you're able, boy
[01:58.24] Well I'm telling you she knows where it's at
[02:01.82] Well, suddenly we hear the sirens
[02:04.97] And everybody started to run
[02:08.69] A-jumping under doors and tables
[02:12.09] Well, I heard somebody shootin' a gun
[02:17.50] Well, the D.A. was pumping my left hand
[02:20.13] And a-she was a-holding my right
[02:23.83] Well, I told her, don't get scared
[02:25.79] 'Cos you're gonna be spared
[02:27.56] I've gotta be forgiven if I wanna spend my living
[02:30.34] With a long cool woman in a black dress
[02:33.91] Just a 5'9" beautiful 'n' tall
[02:37.59] Well with just one look I was a bad mess
[02:40.93] 'Cos that long cool woman had it all
[02:45.89] Had it all, had it all, had it all
[02:53.78]
[02:57.05] Had it all, had it all, mmm had it all (she had it all)
[03:04.33]
