The streaming release date for Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger has been confirmed, and it is set to feature “exclusive unseen footage” that wasn’t included in the cinematic release.
The film arrived in UK cinemas on September 9, and follows the Britpop giant’s 2025 reunion tour, including a joint interview with the Gallagher brothers, concert footage and behind-the-scenes material.
It is directed by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern (Meet Me In The Bathroom), and written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, who also serves as a producer alongside Sam Bridger, Guy Heeley and Tom Mackay.
Up until now, the movie has only been available in cinemas – however, it has now been confirmed that fans can “relive the event” via Disney+ on October 9, and it’ll arrive with previously unseen footage.
In a four-and-a-half-star review of the film, NME concluded: “Ultimately, Don’t Look Back In Anger is masterfully done, with moments of irreverence and intense passion burning throughout.
“The impact of the band has never been clearer than over these two hours – as Liam puts it in the final moments, ‘Oasis saves’ – as it reclaims the narrative around them and relives one of the most momentous, miraculous tours of modern times. By the end, you’ll be itching to do it all over again – and maybe, just maybe, we might.”
Around the time of the cinema release, NME caught up with Steven Knight about the “healing” of reuniting the once-warring Gallagher brothers, as well as directors Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern to talk about what went into the film, as well as paying tribute to late Stone Roses icon Mani and celebrating the “genius” of Bonehead.
You can check out the stacked soundtrack for the film here, and it includes tracks like ‘Live Forever’, ‘Champagne Supernova’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’. It also features ‘Listen Up’ over the closing credits, which was featured on the B-side compilation album ‘The Masterplan’.
The Manchester band are heading back on the road next year for their Live ‘27 stadium shows across the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe and the US, following on from their Live ’25 reunion trek.
Tickets went on sale over the weekend, with the staggered process being noticeably different to the notorious original Oasis reunion sale in August 2024, when hundreds of thousands of people spent hours in online queues, websites struggled under the demand and some fans reached the front only to find tickets dramatically more expensive than expected.
All tickets have now sold out, and the band have said that no more shows will be added to the run.
Ahead of the staggered ticket sale for Live ‘27, Oasis issued an urgent scam warning, and Noel has also promised that the concerts themselves will be an improvement on the previous reunion run. The singer and guitarist has also dismissed rumours of new music on the way – echoing what Liam said on X previously – and LG has also suggested the new run of shows could be Oasis’ last.
The Live ’25 setlist remained virtually unchanged across the comeback tour, but fans have been calling for rarities and songs including ‘Columbia’, ‘Round Are Way’, ‘Listen Up’, ‘Gas Panic’ and ‘Go Let It Out’ to return in 2027.
With Live ‘27, Oasis have already shared information on transport, camping, hospitality and accessibility plans for their big Knebworth gigs, and fans have been speculating about a Glasto 2027 slot – but this has been shot down by Emily Eavis.
