Huge names including Blossoms, The Streets and Danny Dyer have been confirmed for the upcoming episodes of Saturday Night Live UK.
The UK edition of the hit US sketch show returned for season two earlier this month, having launched earlier this spring. Already, it has seen Jeff Goldblum, Fleabag star Jamie Demetriou, and Amelia Dimoldenberg lined-up as hosts, and stacked musical performances from the likes of CMAT, Royal Blood and Rachel Chinouriri.
Now, the next wave of celebrity guest stars have been confirmed, all set to appear over the next three weeks, before a mid-season break and things picking up again in 2027.
Hosts lined-up include Danny Dyer, who recently won a BAFTA for Mr Bigstuff, James Norton – best known for McMafia, House Of Guinness and Happy Valley – and Wicked star and three-times Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo.
Musical guests include Sasha Keable, who featured on the NME 100 at the start of the year and was celebrated as an artist “combining old-school soul with modern grit and undeniable star power”. Her most recent release was her 2025 comeback EP ‘Act Right’.
The Streets will also be performing live on the show, having recently played a handful of huge live shows where they played their seminal 2004 album ‘A Grand Don’t Come For Free’ in its entirety, and also announcing more shows for the end of the year.
Finally, Manchester indie stars Blossoms are also on the bill. Their appearance on SNL comes following frontman Tom Ogden joining Niall Horan on stage last week, an intimate homecoming show to celebrate 10 years of their debut album, and them preparing to release their sixth album ‘Songs From The Wedding Cake’ on Friday (October 2).
The British spin-off of the long-running US sketch comedy show debuted on Sky One in March with former SNL US cast member Tina Fey as the host and Wet Leg as the musical guest. Since then, celebrities including Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, and Nicola Coughlan have hosted, while music acts have included Kasabian, Foo Fighters, and MEEK.
While the show has received a generally warm reception, it has also divided some people with its sketches. Earlier this year, for instance, cast member Ania Magliano responded to controversy surrounding her joke that drew comparisons between Mark Zuckerberg and Hitler, describing the tech billionaire as “fair game”.
Last week, Amelia Dimoldenberg called Ed Sheeran a “red-headed puppet” while hosting the show – taking aim at him following the controversy surrounding his ‘Loop’ tour – and the cast also spoofed Oasisas a pair of Russian spies, attempting to steal Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s personal details.
