Jason Paige, the singer behind the iconic Pokémon theme tune, has shared a new song in honour of the 10th anniversary of Pokémon Go.

Pokémon Go was released in July 2016 and the augmented reality mobile game quickly took the world by storm, with fans able to track down and catch a variety of Pokémon while they explored the physical world.
The hype has died down in recent years but according to one report, more than 50million people still play the hit game every month.
To celebrate the upcoming 10th anniversary of Pokémon Go, Jason Paige has shared ‘Catch The World With A Throw: A Tribute To Pokémon Go’ on his YouTube channel.
“It’s hard to believe that Pokémon Go just turned 10 years old. To celebrate the anniversary of a game that changed the world, I created a brand-new theme song inspired by Pokémon Go — the adventure, the community, and the memories we all share,” he wrote.
“From the summer it launched to the millions of trainers still playing today, Pokémon Go represents exploration, nostalgia, and connection in a way no other game ever has. Being part of this milestone means more to me than I can put into words. Thank you to every trainer who’s been on this journey.”
However some fans have pointed out that Paige originally uploaded ‘Catch The World With A Throw’ shortly after Pokémon Go was first released.
After recording ‘Pokémon Theme (Gotta Catch ‘Em All)’ for the English anime in the 1990s, Paige has remained heavily involved in the world of Pokémon, appearing at conventions and creating a variety of unofficial anthems including the Detective Pikachu-inspired ‘It’ll Always Be Me & You’. He re-recorded the original theme song following the release of Pokémon Go and teamed up with Dwayne Johnson for parody track ‘PokeRock’.
Last week, it was reported that Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen, the 2002 remakes of the original games, would be coming to the Nintendo Switch as part of the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
