Boy Kill Boy have announced a one-off gig in London to celebrate 20 years of their debut album, ‘Civilian’.
The British indie rock band came together earlier this week to share a new teaser on social media, hinting that they would be reuniting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough debut record.
Shared to their official Instagram page, a video saw frontman Chris Peck talking to fans and initially dismissing hopes of a reunion.
He began by saying how unlikely the idea of a comeback seemed, particularly as each member was busy in different parts of the country. As the video progressed, he started to “coincidentally” bump into all of his bandmates, before concluding: “I don’t really know what to say anymore… We’ll be in touch”.
Now, just days after that clip dropped, the band have confirmed a one-off reunion show that will be taking place later this year.
The gig will be held at Scala in London on October 29, and comes in celebration of the milestone anniversary. It will see the band play the record in full, as well as other tracks from their discography.
“So there you have it folks, we will be playing our 20 year anniversary at the Scala on October 29 2026,” Peck shared. “We hope to see you there.”
Tickets go on sale next Friday (February 27) at 10am, and pre-sale options will be available from Wednesday (February 25). Visit here for tickets.
The indie rock band became famed for their lively live shows, and officially split up back in 2008, shortly after the release of their second album ‘Stars And The Sea’.
Since then, they have reunited briefly for two live shows in 2016 – celebrating 10 years of ‘Civilian’ – and also done one standalone gig in 2018 at London’s Oslo.
‘Civilian’ reached Number 16 on the UK albums charts when it was first shared back in 2006. It contained their biggest hits ‘Suzie’ and ‘Back Again’, both of which landed on the Top 40 and featured in the FIFA 07 and Test Drive Unlimited soundtracks.
