Beastie Boys have announced a limited-edition reissue of their album ‘To The Five Boroughs’ on triple vinyl and double CD sets.
The New York rap icons’ sixth studio album was originally released in June 2004 and as it was their first full-length release since ‘Hello Nasty’ in 1998, it saw them reflect on the aftermath of the September 11 attacks in their home city.
Including singles such as ‘Ch-Check It Out’, ‘Triple Trouble’ and ‘An Open Letter To NYC’, it became their third straight US Number One album and was nominated for Best Rap Album at the Grammys, where it lost to Kanye West’s ‘The College Dropout’.
The reissue of the album will be released on April 17, with 11 bonus tracks, including remixes and B-sides. A 3LP set will be available on 180-gram vinyl in a triple gatefold jacket with pop-up elements and a subway map lithograph, while the 2CD set will come in a multi-panelled soft pack.
It represents the first time that the 2019 digital deluxe edition of the tracks will be available in physical formats, and you can pre-order yours here.

Beastie Boys have re-released their classic albums before, including the 30th anniversary reissue of ‘Ill Communication’ in 2024, as well as ‘Hello Nasty’, ‘License To Ill’, ‘Paul’s Boutique’ and ‘Check Your Head’ before that.
