Between its excellent performances and unflinching execution, Furious is one of the best TV shows of 2026.

Created by Elizabeth Meriwether and loosely inspired by the 1987 film Black Widow, the crime thriller follows FBI agent Alice Black as she pursues a calculating serial killer who is targeting powerful men connected to a web of abuse.

Emmy Rossum and Lola Petticrew lead the show’s cast, alongside Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Scoot McNairy, Jake Lacy, Rob Yang, Hope Davis and Danny McCarthy.

All eight episodes of Furious are available to stream on Disney+ in the UK.

Is Furious season 2 happening?

Disney and Hulu officially renewed Furious for a second season on August 28, 2026, a few days ahead of the season one finale.

Speaking about the next season to Entertainment Weekly, creator Elizabeth Meriwether said: “I do get quite nervous about having to do a whole other season just because I’ve been doing limited series the past few years.

“But the way I calm myself down is by kind of going back to the characters… I just love, like, Alice and Nora, and I love Danny, and I’m just excited to be back with them and figure out what they get up to.”

Does season 2 have a release date?

At the time of writing (September 12), a release date has not been announced for season two and there’s no indication of when filming will begin.
