The gig marked Josh Homme and co’s first Iceland show since 2005 The post Watch Queens Of The Stone Age give ‘Phantom Limb’ and ‘Insignificant Other’ their live debut and perform ‘Tangled Up In Plaid’ for first time in eight years in Iceland appeared first on NME.

Queens Of The Stone Age played in Iceland for the first time since 2005, and broke out the live debut of ‘Phantom Limb’ and ‘Insignificant Other’, as well as playing ‘Tangled Up In Plaid’ for the first time in eight years.

Check out footage from the night below along with the complete setlist.

The band teased earlier this summer that they would be heading to Iceland for their first gig there in over 20 years – sharing a video of a Google search of things to do in Iceland, which they followed up by searching when the band’s next gig would be.

On Saturday (October 24), they performed a one-off show at Reykjavík’s Laugardalshöll, opened by the Virgin Orchestra.

From there, they kicked off the show with the first rendition of ‘Tangled Up In Plaid’ – taken from their album ‘Lullabies to Paralyze’ – in eight years, before launching into ‘You Think I Ain’t Worth a Dollar, but I Feel Like a Millionaire’, ‘My God Is the Sun’, ‘Smooth Sailing’, and fan favourite ‘I Sat by the Ocean’.

‘Where The Goth Girls At?’ – a new single from their upcoming album ‘Perfecth’ – also made the setlist, as did some of their biggest hits including ‘Go With the Flow’, ‘Little Sister’, ‘Make It Wit Chu’, ‘No One Knows’ and ‘A Song for the Dead’.

For the Iceland show, the band also broke out another ‘Perfecth’ single ‘Insignificant Other’ live for the first time, as well as the grungy-upcoming track ‘Phantom Limb’.

Check out more footage from the show below, as well as the full setlist.

Queens Of The Stone Age’s setlist was:

‘Tangled Up in Plaid’ (First time since 2018)
‘You Think I Ain’t Worth a Dollar, but I Feel Like a Millionaire’
‘My God Is the Sun’
‘Smooth Sailing’
‘I Sat by the Ocean’
‘Misfit Love’
‘Where the Goth Girls At?’
‘Time & Place’
‘Insignificant Other’ (Live debut)
‘Better Living Through Chemistry’
‘You Can’t Quit Me Baby’
‘Go With the Flow’
‘Carnavoyeur’
‘Turnin’ on the Screw’
‘Little Sister’
‘Phantom Limb’ (Live debut)
‘Make It Wit Chu’
‘I Appear Missing’
‘No One Knows’
‘Mexicola’
‘A Song for the Dead’

‘Perfecth’ is the band’s ninth studio album and set for release on October 30. It has also been previewed by the psychedelic single ‘Easy Street’.

The Iceland show came on the heels of a busy year of touring for QOTSA, and took place shortly after they wrapped up their stint supporting Foo Fighters. Josh Homme and co. recently announced that they’ll be playing a big gig with Interpol in Mexico City next year, too, and hitting the road with Pixies.

The one-off show also followed a stripped-back performance at the historic Parisian Catacombs back in 2024, which was captured for an accompanying concert film and live album. NME awarded Alive In The Catacombs four stars, writing: “Alive In The Catacombs may be powerful enough alone, but it hits differently when followed by Neumann’s companion doc.
