Two huge video game music tours have been confirmed for 2027 but fans are frustrated at the limited stops on the global runs.
Earlier this week, Nintendo announced that it would be celebrating 40 years of The Legend Of Zelda with an anniversary concert series. The same day, a second leg of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s ‘A Painted Symphony’ orchestral tour was confirmed, including a record-breaking gig at London’s O2 Arena.
However some fans aren’t happy at which countries have been excluded from the current tour schedule. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s A Painted Symphony will play 11 shows in France and a further nine across Europe. However just four gigs have been announced in North America – two in New York and two in Los Angeles – and nothing has been announced anywhere else.
Meanwhile ‘The Legend Of Zelda 40th Anniversary’ concert tour will kick-off with six shows in Japan before visiting four cities in the USA, two cities in Australia and three cities in the UK, with just one stop on mainland Europe.

“Fuck, I didn’t realise the world only consisted of the USA and Europe,” said one frustrated Clair Obscur fan on Reddit. “More locations please. I got so excited just to get so sad,” added another. “World tour = one date in the UK and it’s always flipping London,” wrote a third.
“‘North America’ and not a single Canadian city/province. So tired of this,” wrote an annoyed Zelda fan. “So sad… only UK and Sweden in the European leg,” said another. “This is really stupid touring,” added a third.

Organisers for both shows have promised that additional cities and countries will be announced in the near future, but that’s just added to the annoyance as fans work out what shows to buy tickets for. “Now I don’t know if we should plan a trip to a city 6 hours away or wait and see if it comes closer,” explained one fan.
No reason for the staggered tour announcement has been given. However, The Legend Of Zelda tour will be using local orchestras for each stop on the tour while ‘A Painted Symphony’ will once again be performed by the Curieux Orchestra apart from the shows in America, where local groups will join composer Lorien Testard and vocalist Alice Duport-Percier.
