Fans have reacted to Hayley Williams‘ and Rina Sawayama‘s surprise cameos in Netflix series DANG!.

DANG! is an adult animated series following the misadventures of siblings Eunice, Ruthie and Andrew (voiced by Stephanie Hsu, Poppy Liu and Andrew Law) in New York.

However, fans were surprised to hear the some familiar voices during the show’s inaugural season. First was Paramore‘s Hayley Williams, who appears as a fictionalised version of herself as a hallucinatory, otherworldly “guide” in Eunice’s subconscious.

“Remember that summer you worked at CVS? ‘Ain’t It Fun’ played every hour in your store – my song got so stuck in your head that it’s now your intrinsic memory”, Williams can be heard saying in her best spiritual drawl. Meanwhile, Rina Sawayama also voices herself in the series, who appears in a tribunal with Chrissy Teigen.

Williams took to Instagram stories to thank show creator Law for her guest spot, writing: “Thank you for letting me use my soft voice and make out with @poppyliu. Big honour to even be a small part of this show”.

Hayley Williams just announced a huge UK and Europe tour to take place in 2027.

Having just wrapped up her US and South America legs, the Paramore frontwoman will travel across the pond in June 2027 to kick off at Carroponte in Milan.

Notable shows include a huge support slot for Fontaines D.C. at Slane Castle in County Meath, Ireland on June 26, along with a stop at London’s Alexandra Palace in July.

Fans have also spotted a large Glastonbury-sized gap in her touring schedule.

Tickets for Williams’ headline dates go on sale on Tuesday September 8 at 10am local time – visit here for tickets and more information.

Williams will be touring in support of her album ‘Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party‘, which she dropped as a surprise in 2025.

NME gave the album a four-star review, writing: “As with almost every era of Hayley Williams’ career, this new release has come with questions about the future of Paramore. The determined lyrics on the tender ‘I Won’t Quit On You’ should be all the reassurance worried fans need, but if that’s not enough, there’s plenty in this brilliant, swaggering new chapter to be excited about.

“These songs might be about missed second chances, but Williams is certainly making the most of hers.”

Meanwhile, Sawayama recently revealed that she’s recorded “40 to 50” new songs in the last two years.

Though the singer hasn’t released music since her 2022 album ‘Hold The Girl’, she made her acting debut in John Wick: Chapter 4, and Sawayama will be reprising her role in its spin-off Caine. She will also be starring in Apple TV series Prodigies.

She also told fans she was busy making new music, saying the experience was “really fun” and that she was now “finishing a lot of the music that I have already written. It’s very forensic science at this point and I’m taking apart every single line and re-writing, putting harmonies [on], changing the harmonies…it’s all a balance. But that to me is what makes a song a song.”
