To celebrate ten years of Persona 5, the game’s incredible soundtrack is getting a bumper vinyl re-release.

With music composed by Shoji Meguro, the Persona 5 soundtrack covers acid jazz, funk and soul across more than 100 songs. The game originally launched in Japan on September 15 2016 before a worldwide release took place the following year.

“Lead the Phantom Thieves Of Hearts in this award winning, stylish turn-based RPG filled with dungeon crawling, party customisation, strategic combat and Persona fusion,” reads an official description of the action role-playing game. “Explore Tokyo, build relationships, battle Shadows and infiltrate the minds of the corrupt to make them change their ways!”

To celebrate Persona 5’s anniversary, video game collectables company iam8bit have announced a dedicated range. You can get your hands on a repress of the bumper 109-track, 6LP deluxe vinyl boxset (available here for $149.99). The “essential” songs from Persona 5 are available on cassette tape for the first time (pre-order here for $19.99) and a 3 CD set featuring Persona 5’s greatest hits is available here for $29.99.

Fans can also get cassette or CD versions of choice cuts from the Persona 1&2, 3 and 4 soundtracks (available here for $19.99 each) and fans can also get a deluxe CD bundles that includes more than 200 songs from across the Persona series (available here for $99.99).

Persona 5 is a massive and epic opus of a game – the kind of 100-hour-plus JRPG journey that it is impossible to peel away from,” reads a description of the vinyl. “The soundtrack is equally epic, featuring hours of jazzy, poppy, energetic musical magic that you’ll find yourself unconsciously whistling throughout the day. From upbeat vocally-driven songs (many featuring the incomparable throaty gusto of Japanese soul singer, Lyn Inaizumi) to more contemplative, instrumental riffs, Atlus Sound Team assembled an impressive ensemble of tunes. Quite simply, Persona 5 is one of iam8bit’s favorite video game soundtracks to date.”

Persona composer Shoji Meguro is set to bring the music of follow-up game Metaphor: ReFantazio to life later this year with a trio of orchestral concerts ahead of shows in Paris and London early next year.

In other news, the Japan Game Awards took place last night (September 15) and Pokémon Pokopia walked away with the first Game Of The Year trophy of 2026.
